Virginia Transformer Hosts NRECA Members at GTC

RINCON, Ga. (October 13, 2023) – Virginia Transformer on Wednesday hosted a group of National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) members as part of their Generation Member Advisory Group (GMAG) meeting at our GTC facility. A total of 40 leaders from more than 30 different co-ops and municipalities were in attendance, including directors, vice presidents, managers, and other corporate leaders.

The NRECA is the national service organization for more than 900 not-for-profit rural electric cooperatives and public power districts, providing retail electric service to more than 42 million consumers in 47 states. Their visit to our facility was a testament to our industry leadership and engineering excellence.

The day featured a seminar on transformer manufacturing and design technology followed by an educational tour of GTC, where we showcased our state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities and acquainted the group with our extensive quality and reliability standards. We concluded the event with dinner on a river cruise, which was a great opportunity for the NRECA members to further interact with our team and learn more about our innovative processes, cutting-edge technology, and commitment to quality that have made Virginia Transformer the leader in the power transformer manufacturing industry.
