Virginia-Georgia Transformer - Rincon, GA

The Georgia Power Transformer manufacturing facility, an affiliate of Virginia Transformer Corp, is located in Rincon, Georgia. It was built in 2009 by Efacec Energia. It uses the best engineering and design concepts available for shell transformers up to 1,400 MVA & 500 kV, core form up to 400 MVA & 525 kV, with a total capacity of 47,000 MVA.

Since acquiring the Rincon facility in January 2015, Georgia Transformer has been focused on strengthening the business and operations while keeping the foundations established by Efacec intact. The 250,000-square-foot facility is state-of-the-art, with a controlled environment to ensure optimal pressure, humidity, and temperature for insulation materials and other critical parts used in the transformer manufacturing process. The plant is ISO 9001:2015 certified.

We implemented VTC company policies and technology into our Rincon facility and further expanded our training program, leading us to develop the finest workforce in the power transformer industry.

We are a leader in supplying reliable power transformers. Our technology, employees, and processes allow us to produce power transformers with a 60-year lifespan for the utility industry.
