Index Pricing for Transformer Customers

To help our customers understand and plan for the inflationary costs of transformers we may quote using Index Pricing.

The index pricing is based on our input costs, including the prices of copper, aluminum, steel and core steel; oil; components; and labor and overhead. We include a factor for profit related to the increased costs.

The month of the quote will be the base value (denominator). The proposal will state the month to be used for the denominator. The month of shipment will be the numerator, utilizing the closest available information.

For example: The month of shipment divided by the month of quote, multiplied by the Quoted price.
