Virginia Transformer recently commissioned a 2.5 Base MVA / 3.5 Top MVA, 34.5/4.8 kV transformer for the U.S. Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS) China Lake in California. Located in the Western Mojave Desert, China Lake is the Navy’s largest single landholding and a critical hub for research, development, acquisition, testing, and evaluation (RDAT&E) of advanced weapons systems. This transformer enhances power reliability across the installation, supporting the Navy’s mission to advance innovation and operational readiness.
