Four Units Delivered to North Dakota Cooperative

As part of our commitment to bolster the reliability of the U.S. electrical grid, we recently delivered four power distribution transformers to Central Power Electric Cooperative in Minot, North Dakota. These 5/7 MVA, 43.8/13.2 kV units will help provide dependable and efficient power to Minot and neighboring communities.

Central Power Electric Cooperative is a wholesale power supply and transmission cooperative organized in 1949 to generate power for its member rural electric distribution cooperatives. Today, Central Power continues to supply the bulk power needs of its members through a backbone system of transmission and subtransmission facilities. The six member cooperatives that make up Central Power combine to serve over 67,363 farms, homes, and businesses located in a service area of 25 counties across the central and southeastern third of North Dakota.

Virginia Transformer is proud to support utilities companies across the nation by supplying high-quality transformers designed with a 60-year lifespan and delivered with the shortest lead times in the industry. Congratulations to our manufacturers’ representative from EUSCO, Jacob Edland, who led this sale, and all those involved in designing, manufacturing, and delivering this unit!
