VTC Powers Texas Dashiell Project

As part of our effort to strengthen the electrical grid, we recently delivered a new transformer to Dashiell Corporation in Vilmont, Texas. Built at our P2 facility in Chihuahua, Mexico, this 25/33.333 MVA, 230/13.2 kV power distribution unit is designed with a 60-year lifespan to provide reliable power to the region.

Dashiell’s headquarters is located in Houston, Texas, with over 1,000 employees in their combined Dashiell and Dacon companies. Since 1960, Dashiell has completed numerous high voltage projects (69 kV–765 kV) for industrials, petrochemicals, independent power producers, and utilities. Dashiell furnishes engineering, testing, and project management services nationwide.

Virginia Transformer is proud to support utilities projects across the country by delivering the highest-quality transformers with the shortest lead times in the industry. Congratulations to our manufacturers’ representative from Double E Engineering, Ed Pando, who led this sale, and all those involved who helped to design, manufacture, and deliver this unit.
