Virginia Transformer Delivers to Nevada Mine

Virginia Transformer got its start manufacturing transformers for the mining industry more than 50 years ago, and we continue to serve the mining industry today. One of our recent deliveries in this market is a 15/20 MVA, 63/4.16 kV power distribution unit to the Coeur Rochester mine in Nevada.

Located approximately 120 northeast of Reno, the Coeur Rochester mine is an open pit, heap leach silver-gold operation with throughput rates of more than 88,000 tons per day. Coeur Rochester employs more than 370 mining professionals and is the largest employer in Pershing County, as well as one of the largest operations of its kind in the world.

Virginia Transformer is proud to support mining projects across the country by delivering the highest-quality transformers with the shortest lead times in the industry. Congratulations to our manufacturers’ representative from Pacific Power Reps, Rick Burgess, who led this sale, and all those involved who helped to design, manufacture, and deliver this unit.
