We recently delivered and installed two transformers for Charter Steel’s facility in Cleveland, Ohio. These 30/56 MVA, 138/11.47 kV power distribution units will help provide reliable, uninterrupted power to the steel mill, located approximately 10 minutes from downtown Cleveland.  

Charter Steel is an American supplier of special bar quality steel (SBQ), providing green rod and fully processed steel made of 90-percent recycled materials to customers worldwide.   Charter Steel’s Cleveland location operates a fully integrated mini mill with expert rolling capabilities and a melt shop that uses electric arc furnace technology.
