As part of our commitment to strengthen the electrical grid with the industry’s highest-quality transformers, we recently delivered a new unit to Brazos Electric Power Cooperative in Waco, Texas. Built at our Georgia Transformer facility in Rincon, Ga., this 30/56 MVA, 134/26.4 kV power distribution transformer is designed with a 60-year lifespan to help provide power to the region.
Brazos Electric Cooperative provides transmission and distribution services for 16 Texas electric co-ops whose service territory extends across 68 counties from the Texas Panhandle to Houston. Brazos Electric owns and operates more than 500 distribution substation facilities and 2,700 miles of high-voltage transmission lines, providing power to approximately 1.8 million customers.
Virginia Transformer is proud to support electric cooperatives across the country by delivering reliable and efficient transformers with the shortest lead times in the industry. Congratulations to our manufacturers’ representative from Double E Engineering, Ed Pando, who led this sale, and all those involved who helped to design, manufacture, and deliver this unit.
