Virginia Transformer continues to strengthen the U.S. electrical grid with our recent delivery to a Lynches River Electric Cooperative substation in South Carolina. Built at our Roanoke facility, this 15/28 MVA, 67/24.94 kV power distribution unit is designed with a 60-year lifespan to help provide reliable power to the region.
Lynches River Electric Cooperative is headquartered in Pageland, South Carolina. Founded in 1939, the co-op provides service to more than 21,000 residential, commercial, and industrial consumers in Chesterfield, Kershaw, and Lancaster counties. South Carolina’s electric cooperatives serve nearly one-third of the state population.
Virginia Transformer is proud to support rural cooperatives and utilities projects across the country by delivering the highest-quality transformers with the shortest lead times in the industry. Congratulations to our manufacturers’ representative from Ensales, Adam Hart, who led this sale, and all those involved who helped to design, manufacture, and deliver this unit.
