We recently delivered two transformers to Reading Municipal Light Department in Massachusetts. Built at our facility in Rincon, Georgia, these 45/75 MVA, 115/13.8 kV power distribution units will provide efficient and reliable power to homes and businesses in the area.
Established in 1894, Reading Municipal Light Department (RMLD) is a municipal electric utility serving over 70,000 residents in the towns of Reading, North Reading, Wilmington, and Lynnfield Center. RMLD has over 30,000 meter connections within its service territory and is the largest of the 41 municipal light departments in Massachusetts with regard to electricity load.
Virginia Transformer is proud to support public power utilities across the country by supplying the industry’s finest transformers designed with a 60-year lifespan. Congratulations to representative Sean Martin from HiReli who led this sale, and all those involved who helped design, manufacture, and deliver these units.
