Virginia Transformer Delivers for Rural Electric Cooperative

We recently delivered a transformer for Western Farmers Electric Cooperative (WFEC) in Fort Townsen, Oklahoma. This 7.5/10.5 MVA, 69/13.2 kV power distribution unit will serve as a spare transformer for WFEC, providing redundancy and peace of mind to their operations.

Western Farmers Electric Cooperative (WFEC) is a generation and transmission cooperative that provides essential electric service to 21 member cooperatives, Altus Air Force Base, and other power users. WFEC has been in existence for 80 years and has grown into Oklahoma’s largest locally owned power supply system. WFEC was organized in 1941 when western Oklahoma’s rural electric distribution cooperatives found it necessary to secure adequate and affordable power for farmers and rural industrial developers.

Virginia Transformer is proud to support the reliability and resiliency of rural cooperatives like WFEC by supplying the highest-quality transformers with the shortest lead times in the industry. Congratulations to representative Matt Tiffee of Oberlender who led this sale, and all who helped design, manufacture, and deliver this unit!
