I have been employed by Virginia Transformer since 2004, and cannot envision myself working anywhere else. I truly love my job and the people I work with. I feel a sense of loyalty to my company which makes working here very fulfilling. Virginia Transformer acknowledges those who go above and beyond their job description which was proven to me in 2012 when I was given an award for dedication and commitment. This company feels like home to me and my coworkers are an extension of my family. I’m proud to be an employee of Virginia Transformer.
I came to VTC in July 2016 and my role is to support and lead Human Resources for our plant operations. I made the deliberate choice to accept a position here because of the great history and reputation of the company, the integrity and vision of company leadership has created a stable and growing organization that I wanted to be a part of. In my role I speak to many people about coming to work here and what I share is that VTC values hard work and commitment; it does not matter where one comes from, their native language, gender, race or other factor – performance is the only measurement that matters. If you are looking for a professional home where your contributions will be valued, Virginia Transformer is a company that should be strongly considered.

Working at Virginia Transformer is a great pleasure for me. The thing I appreciate most about the company is that it has given me the opportunity to accept new responsibilities & challenges since I started to work almost 5 years ago. I can say that it has been an honor for me to handle C&I market for whole country beginning this year and receiving the trust and support of sales team and management. I’ve learned so many new things: colleagues taught me about the industry and shared their knowledge with me. I will always be thankful to the management who believed in me and gave me this opportunity to grow, not only within the company but also as a person.
There was an open position at VTC and it is close to my home. I decided to apply and I am glad for it. VTC offers me what I need and I like my job. It is a very stable company. During all this years I have the opportunity to grow . I know different processes because the company provides excellent opportunities to grow and learn different processes and machines.

I was recommended by other Operators that VTC is a good place for work. During the interview process it held my attention and I thought it was interesting.
I enjoy working with Machinary and here at VTC, I have the opportunity to handle different machines. I feel comfortable with the learning process VTC performs.
I was employed by first Efacec and then GA Transformer for 7 years and had taken a position with another local company and moved with family here from Ohio. I enjoy the hands on manufacturing environment with GA Transformer and my job involving wood shop skills is something that I not only required In the current position but it is also my passion as I owns many wood working tools at my home.
I really like the current leadership of the company and feels it is headed in the right direction. The talks the owner and plant manager give communicate the direction of the company and provide a picture of where the plant and company are going.
I would like to provide more of a leadership role within the company in the future for the continued growth of myself and the company.
