Maintenance Mechanic

A Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for full facility maintenance and repair, to include all manufacturing equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor/Lead person.  They have a very good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and associated safety precautions.

  • Repair or maintain the operating condition of manufacturing equipment such as HVAC, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electrical, Mechanical and Welders (SMAW, TIG & MIG), ovens, core cutters and more.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment. 
  • Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices.
  • Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
  • Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.
  • Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
  • Perform maintenance and repair of office and manufacturing facilities. Document it using the work order system.
  • Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary
  • Participate in the Spill Contingency Group and Lockout – Tagout program.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned




  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 2 years experience performing maintenance and repair in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams
  • Ability to diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment
  • Ability to utilize a respirator (requires medical statement of suitability)
  • Proficient written & oral communication skills (legible)
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime, evening / off shifts, weekends, and holidays
