With 120,000 square feet of floor space, the Roanoke facility manufacturers liquid filled transformers up through 46 MVA top rated, 115 kV class, 450 kV BIL rated, Load-Tap Changing transformers, three (3) phase regulators up through 46 kV class, dry type transformers up through 20 MVA, 35 kV class, 150 kV BIL rated and encapsulated UNICLAD^® transformers up through 20 MVA, 35 kV class, 150 kV BIL rated.

 Several ovens and heated paint booths, a controlled humidity work chamber for low power factor, an environmentally controlled core cutting line, a full weld shop for tanks, a sand blast booth and a remodeled test floor capable of supporting test for two units at a time; VTC is in full control of all critical processes.  Our climate controlled positive pressure winding room houses more than a dozen winding machines.

 ISO 9001 certification is just one element of our commitment to zero defects.  We conduct continuous training at our Roanoke facility to assure exceptional craftsmanship and employ statistical methods to track our performance and assure excellence.  It’s all part of our restless commitment to pride in workmanship, and it shows in everything we do.
