Materials Supervisor
Responsible for domestic procurement of raw materials and components required for manufacture of power transformers. Procures material from overseas, including India, China, Europe, and South Korea. Ensures on time availability of materials. Responsible for inventory control, physical inventory and cycle counts. Negotiates contracts for disposal of commodities such as copper, aluminum, milled and core steel. Controls logistics for ocean freight and delivery.
Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering + 1 yr. experience in field required. Bachelors’ degree in Mechanical Engineering plus a minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience in field will be considered. Experience must include working experience in transformer manufacturing plus knowledge of transformer manufacturing and processes, including transformer components.
